Everyone loves the old Broadway musicals, right? They are endeared to songs like “Do Re Mi,” from the Sound of Music. We cry with Annie in the song, “Maybe,” as she dreams about the father and mother she never knew. We laugh with Bert, the vivacious chimney sweep, as he dances along with Mary through the song “Jolly Holiday.”
About a year ago, my sister and I had a dream to do a musical. But we couldn’t decide on just one musical. We had to include them all, so we combined a simple and fun medley of 11 songs which included songs from Oliver, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, and even the movie “Anastasia.” It was presented as a dinner theater for 80-100 guests to enjoy a delicious southwestern plated dinner while singing and enjoying children getting the opportunity to revive and refresh the songs everybody knows and loves!
This year, we decided to go bigger… Won’t you come and join us on February 3rd, 2011 at 6:30 PM for a night full of songs, tears, fun, and laughter!
